WHAT ARE DENTAL CROWNS?

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a damaged or decayed tooth to restore its shape, size, and strength. Crowns can also be used to improve the appearance of teeth, and are typically made from materials such as porcelain or ceramic.

WHAT ARE DENTAL BRIDGES?

Dental bridges are a type of dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of one or more artificial teeth that are attached to adjacent teeth or dental implants, and can improve the appearance, function, and health of a patient’s smile.

HOW LONG DO CROWNS/BRIDGES LAST?

The life span depends on how much pressure is applied on the bite and how well it is looked after. Crowns cannot decay, but decay can start where the edge of crown or bridge joins the tooth, therefore, it is very important to keep the gums clean. On average, crowns and bridges can last between 10 and 15 years, but with proper care and maintenance, they can last even longer.
